Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in an international environment and taking ownership of complex accounting processes? For our finance team in Châtel-St-Denis, we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant who will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and smooth collaboration across countries and departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end general ledger activities for several entities. You will work closely with colleagues in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Group Consolidation, and actively contribute to the ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to combine hands-on accounting with process improvement in a dynamic, international setting.

Job Description

As General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate quarterly closings and financial reporting
  • Managing tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax across multiple countries
  • Handling intercompany accounting such as loans, invoices, cash transfers, and reconciliations
  • Overseeing fixed asset accounting and depreciation
  • Reviewing and validating balance sheet and P&L accuracy
  • Preparing control documentation and supporting consolidation reporting
  • Collaborating closely with AP, AR, Cash Management, and Group Consolidation teams
  • Taking ownership of statutory financial statements for assigned entities
  • Playing an active role in the SAP S/4HANA implementation, including testing, validation, and process alignment

Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar General Ledger or accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA 
  • Fluency in English and French
  • A structured, accurate working style with a proactive mindset
