Job Description
We are looking for an AI/ML Software Engineer to develop intelligent solutions for complex engineering challenges in the offshore maritime domain. From optimising vessel performance to predictive analytics for maintenance, you will apply advanced algorithms to deliver tangible impact. This role combines technical depth with cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for someone who thrives on turning theory into practice.
- Design and implement AI/ML models to solve real-world engineering and business problems.
- Develop optimisation and decision-support tools to improve planning and operational efficiency.
- Explore emerging AI techniques and assess their potential for innovation in our industry.
- Translate stakeholder needs into practical digital solutions and communicate results clearly.
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in AI/ML methods with hands-on experience through projects or thesis work.
- Practical mindset with the ability to apply models in engineering contexts.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with optimisation algorithms or mathematical modelling.
- Exposure to simulation-based modelling, digital twins, or applied ML projects.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks) or high-performance computing environments.
- Knowledge of NLP or information retrieval is a plus
