We are currently looking for a Contract Engineer to join our multi‑disciplinary Procurement Department in Delft, the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, awarding, and managing procurement contracts and frame agreements that support safe, cost-effective and compliant operations across Allseas’ fleet and supporting departments.
You will act as the commercial and contractual interface between internal stakeholders, suppliers and the Legal department, ensuring that commercial, legal and supply risks are appropriately managed throughout the full contract lifecycle. The role suits a professional who is comfortable operating in a complex technical environment and who enjoys taking ownership of contracts with strategic impact.

Job Description
In the role of Contract engineer, you will mainly focus on the following tasks:
- Execute tendering and contracting processes in line with approved procedures and governance
- Define sourcing and contracting strategies based on value, risk and market conditions
- Prepare tender documentation, including draft contracts and frame agreements
- Evaluate supplier bids and prepare contract award recommendations
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions in close cooperation with Legal
- Award and administer contracts and frame agreements in ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Manage assigned contract portfolios, including performance, variations, renewals and terminations
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual, commercial and risk-related matters
- Actively manage interfaces with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to standardisation, governance and continuous improvement initiatives within Procurement
Education & Experience
To be succesfull in the position of Contract Engineer Fleet Procurement, you should largely recognize yourself in most of the following requirements:
- BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline (technical, commercial or engineering background)
- Proven experience in contracting and procurement within offshore, energy, shipbuilding or comparable industries
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting principles and procurement governance
- Experience with tendering, bid evaluation and contract negotiation
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess commercial and contractual risks
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and spoken
- Good command of the English language
- A hands-on, structured and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently
