Do you want to work on machines that are unique due to their size, complexity and required precision? Our Control team builds control and automation solutions on top of the PLC layer provided by the Automation team. They take pride in creating solutions that seamlessly integrate tens of subsystems into an overall control system operated by a single operator on the ship's bridge.

Job Description

The disciplinary team of Control System Engineers and Software Engineers takes responsibility for the entire product spectrum, encompassing hardware integration, real-time operating systems, software architecture design, package management, tooling, CI/CD, and simulator testing. 

In collaboration with other engineers from different disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering you will be involved in projects from:

• the first concept to the design;
• programming; 
• commissioning;
• testing of the control software on board of our vessels.

You will be working on projects such as the Topside Lifting System and the Jacket Lift System.

You will be part of a team of 7 software engineers plus working student and graduates. They all enjoy solving software problems and the freedom to come up with own solutions and ideas.

Education & Experience

• MSc degree in Systems and Control, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering;
• You have a minimum of two years of working experience.
• You are familiar with C/C++ and scripting languages.
• Experience with real time embedded software is a plus.
• You are proactive, have good communication skills and interested in technology.
