Allseas is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to join its Innovations Department in Delft. In this role, you will contribute to the design of electrical power systems, automation systems, and ship services across all engineering phases, from concept through to realisation.

The Innovations Department focuses on developing new solutions and processes that enable Allseas to stay at the forefront of the industry. The E&I Unit is currently involved in the development of new equipment for Allseas’ subsea activities, the transition towards nuclear propulsion, the design of three new vessels, and the preparation of offshore production equipment for a new era of industrial automation.

As an E&I Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical documentation, with a strong focus on electrical drawings. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Create and update electrical installation details, including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable lists, and consumer lists;
  • Select equipment for the design of electrical cabinets;
  • Review and integrate designs, schematics, and diagrams;
  • Support multidisciplinary teams with E&I drawings and related documentation;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards.

Education & Experience

  • You hold an MBO or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification;
  • You have at least 4 years of experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer or 7 years as Electrical & Instrumentation Draftsman;
  • You have hands-on experience with both AutoCAD and EPLAN;
  • You have a broad affinity with technology;
  • You are able to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities;
  • You have experience with Siemens automation hardware.
