We are currently looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Expeditor to join our multi‑disciplinary Procurement Department in Delft, the Netherlands. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of materials, goods and services across multiple categories to support and maintain Allseas’ fleet, offices and yards, and to contribute to the effective execution of projects.

You will work closely with Buyers, internal stakeholders and suppliers to monitor order progress, resolve bottlenecks and maintain a smooth and reliable supply chain. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑moving, high‑paced environment, communicates clearly, and takes ownership from order placement through to delivery.

Job Description

  • Monitor all open Purchase Orders and track supplier delivery commitments to ensure timely arrival.
  • Proactively follow up with suppliers to secure on time delivery of ordered goods and services.
  • Confirm and reconfirm delivery dates with suppliers at order placement and as the delivery moment approaches.
  • Identify potential delays early, take corrective action where possible and escalate risks to Buyers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding order status, production progress and shipment readiness.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of order documentation, confirmations and updates within the ERP system (SAP).
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to support efficient receipt of goods.
  • Provide status updates and reporting to the Procurement team and project stakeholders.
  • Support resolution of delivery issues, missing certificates, documentation discrepancies or non-conformities.

Education & Experience

  • MBO+/HBO level or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or a Technical discipline.
  • Relevant experience in expediting, logistics or supply chain roles (offshore, shipbuilding or petrochemical) is an advantage.
  • Strong affinity with technical standards, supplier processes and project driven environments.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organised, accurate and able to maintain oversight of multiple parallel orders.
  • Hands on, no nonsense mentality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain constructive supplier relationships.
  • Results driven, proactive and comfortable working under time pressure.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
