Department Description
The HVAC Engineer works within the Technical Department. The TD’s objective is to efficiently manage the maintenance, repair and modifications of all vessels, yards and equipment. Always with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
The HVAC Engineer specifically focuses on the assessment, optimization and re-design of HVAC systems onboard offshore and land installations. Objectives are to improve energy efficiency, environmental performance and operational reliability of these systems.

Job Description
HVAC Engineer should ensure optimal support of the Technical Department and Allseas in general, by improving HVAC system performance and sustainability.
Job specific tasks:
- Review and assess existing HVAC systems onboard vessels and offshore installations;
- Identify opportunities for energy savings, emissions, noise reduction and system optimization;
- Design and propose (improved) HVAC systems, including technical specifications and investment proposals;
- Liaise with classification societies and regulatory bodies regarding HVAC compliance with applicable legislation (Marpol, IMO, ISO etc.);
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integration of HVAC improvements into vessel operations;
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and system history;
- Monitor HVAC-related inventory and propose procurement or upgrades as needed;
- Stay informed about new HVAC technologies and sustainability trends;
- Support the Asset Manager, Technical Superintendents and Vessel Management Teams with HVAC-related issues;
- Promote a culture of innovation, reliability, and sustainability within the department;
- Familiarity with relevant industry standard codes such as IEC and NEN-ISO.
Education & Experience
- BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent, with a focus on HVAC systems;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC engineering;
- Knowledge of classification society rules, IMO regulations, and energy efficiency standards.
- F-gases technician certificate is preferred;
