As Head of IT at Allseas, you will lead the strategic direction, governance, and operations of our global IT function. You’ll head a multi-tiered organization of approximately 70 FTEs, combining in-house expertise with outsourced delivery partners. Your mission: to align IT services and digital capabilities with business goals, regulatory standards, and innovation priorities.

You’ll represent IT at board level, positioning the department as a key enabler of Allseas’ ambitions. With a strong focus on people leadership, you’ll foster a high-performance culture, nurture talent, and drive transformation across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Strategic & Organizational Leadership

  • Define and communicate the IT vision and strategy in alignment with corporate goals
  • Represent IT at executive level and act as a strategic business partner
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary IT organization, including governance, architecture, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and service management
  • Ensure continuity of offshore operations (OT, onboard networking, data centers, connectivity)
  • Manage ~70 FTEs across internal teams and supplier ecosystems.

🔹 People & HR Leadership

  • Full HR responsibility for team leads: recruitment, onboarding, performance, career development
  • Build leadership capability and drive engagement across the IT organization
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and shared ownership
  • Increase IT maturity and business awareness across all levels.

🔹 Governance & Orchestration

  • Maintain a multi-vendor ecosystem with clear SLAs, XLAs, and measurable outcomes
  • Oversee Service Integration and Management (SIAM)
  • Embed IT risk management, compliance, and security frameworks
  • Implement multi-year budgeting and transparent asset management.

🔹 Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure secure, stable, and high-quality IT services across all business units
  • Balance in-house capabilities with outsourced providers
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and proactive issue resolution
  • Lead the transition from Oracle to SAP.

🔹 Portfolio & Transformation Management

  • Oversee IT portfolio prioritization and resource allocation
  • Sponsor transformation initiatives from infrastructure modernization to digital product development
  • Promote agile and lean ways of working
  • Ensure transparent reporting to C-level stakeholders.

🔹 Innovation & Future-Readiness

  • Anticipate trends and position IT as a driver of innovation
  • Build strategic vendor relationships for co-innovation
  • Introduce technologies that deliver sustainable business advantage.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years in IT leadership, including 5+ years in governance and multi-vendor orchestration
  • Proven experience managing operational teams and strategic programs
  • HR leadership experience with indirect span of control >50 FTE
  • Familiarity with hybrid IT environments (on-prem, cloud) and enterprise applications (e.g., SAP)
  • Knowledge of ITIL v4, SIAM, TOGAF, ISO 27001
  • Strategic vision with strong execution discipline
  • Excellent leadership and people development skills
  • Vendor and contract management expertise
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Skilled in ITSM/ESM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Xurrent).
