Job Description

As a Junior Planning Engineer, you will support the planning team in managing challenging offshore projects. You will coordinate planning activities, convert proposal schedules into detailed project schedules, and collaborate with multiple disciplines, offices, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning activities for complex projects and work scopes
  • Convert proposal schedules into detailed project schedules
  • Initiate onshore scope planning and gather input from various disciplines, foreign offices, and subcontractors
  • Issue initial schedules for internal review and approval
  • Create and publish reports, including project bar charts, histograms, S-curves, and Earned Value reports
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, update forecasts, and report to the project team, management, and clients

Education & Experience

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a similar field;
  • Basic knowledge of project planning methods and techniques (through work experience or internships);
  • Preferably 1 year of relevant work experience in a project-driven or technical environment;
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude;
  • Experience with ERP software is a plus;
  • Familiarity with or interest in Primavera P6 and MS Project;
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
