Department Description
The QHSE department covers aspects of Quality, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment throughout the organisation. The international team consists of multiple disciplines: compliance, continuous improvement, QHSE engineering, quality control, regulatory and quality assurance.
The department supports the on- and offshore organisation with the implementation and improvement of a multi-faceted management system (Allseas Integrated Management System, AIMS). The system encompasses a safety management component (International Safety Management, ISM), a component for product quality management (ISO9001) and a component for environmental management (ISO14001).

Job Description
- Provide guidance, advice and support to the company on ISM, ISPS, MLC, IMO regulations/resolutions, flag state requirements, IMCA, OCIMF and related questions;
- Perform internal audits on Allseas’ vessels and offices related to ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards;
- Follow up on (external) audit findings and co-ordinate close out with the responsible persons;
- Monitor for trends in audit findings;
- Liaise with the Vessel Asset Team for vessel specific issues;
- Liaise with the Vice President Operations, Manager Technical Department and Manager Crewing for fleet-wide issues;
- Perform marine and/or safety assessments on subcontracted vessels;
- Monitor changes in maritime legislation, standards, etc. and advise on implications for Allseas’ operations to the relevant departments;
- Develop, verify and improve management system procedures;
- Participate in incident investigation teams;
- Control vetting and inspection databases (IMCA/OCIMF).
Education & Experience
- A degree in a relevant field, such as maritime studies or marine engineering.
- 3-5 years of seagoing experience or 3-5 years of other relevant work experience supplemented with training in ISM Code, ISPS Code and MLC.
- Certified auditor for ISM, ISPS and MLC standards.
- Experience in auditing and maintaining QHSE management systems.
