Allseas is developing a 25 MWe / 70 MWth High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) to deliver clean, reliable energy for offshore and industrial applications. For our multidisciplinary Nuclear Department, we are looking for a Security & Safeguards Coordinator to help embed security, cybersecurity, information protection and safeguards into the design, licensing, project execution and future operation of our nuclear programme

Job Description

As Security & Safeguards Coordinator, you will coordinate the development, implementation and follow-up of security and safeguards requirements for Allseas’ nuclear activities. You will translate regulatory requirements and authority expectations into practical project, design and organisational measures.
You will work closely with engineering, licensing, safety, QA/QC, IT, operations, procurement, legal, project management and external experts. The role is coordinating and integrating in nature, with a strong focus on security by design, safeguards by design, traceability and demonstrable compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the nuclear security and safeguards approach for Allseas’ nuclear programme.
  • Translate legislation, regulatory expectations and expert input into clear project, design and organisational requirements.
  • Coordinate the integration of security by design, including physical protection, security zoning, access control, cyber interfaces and protection of sensitive information.
  • Coordinate security-related design reviews, risk assessments and follow-up actions.
  • Support safeguards by design for areas such as fuel handling, fuel storage, material accountancy, monitoring, inspection access and data integrity.
  • Contribute to security and safeguards documentation for licensing, audits, inspections and authority interactions.
  • Coordinate interfaces between safety, security, safeguards, cybersecurity and operational requirements.
  • Support stakeholder engagement with relevant authorities and organisations, including ANVS, AIVD, NCSC, Euratom and IAEA where applicable.
  • Help establish practical processes, documentation and verification methods to demonstrate compliance.

Education & Experience

  • BSc or MSc degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 year work experience
  • Affinity with nuclear technology, regulated environments and complex technical projects.
  • Experience with security, safeguards, cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, licensing or technical project coordination is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate regulations and authority expectations into practical requirements and actions.
  • Structured and accurate way of working, with strong attention to confidentiality, sensitive information and traceability.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across technical, organisational and regulatory interfaces.
