An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and hands-on Service Engineer Hydraulics to join our Operations team. You will be based in the Netherlands and work across various Allseas sites, including our Bluemarine Offshore Yard Service (BOYS) facility in Rotterdam, our yard in Heijningen, and other project locations. In addition, you will spend approximately 15 weeks per year offshore on board our vessels.

 

You will be part of our Service Engineers Team, including one other hydraulics specialist, and work closely with Equipment Mechanics and other disciplines to ensure that all hydraulic systems and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.

Job Description

As Service Engineer Hydraulics, you are responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and certification of hydraulic systems and components used in our offshore operations. You support projects across Allseas’ yards, workshops and vessels.

 

Your key tasks include:

  • Performing maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on hydraulic equipment and systems;
  • Managing hydraulic hose inspections and replacements according to certification standards;
  • Supporting mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment onshore and offshore;
  • Assisting Equipment Mechanics with hydraulic-related tasks;
  • Ensuring that all hydraulic equipment is certified and properly documented in our IT systems;
  • Taking ownership of the safe and efficient execution of your work on site and on board.

Education & Experience

We are looking for a practical, result-driven Service Engineer with a “can-do” attitude who takes initiative and works in a structured way.

 

  • MBO degree or equivalent in a technical discipline;
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience with hydraulic hoses, fittings and systems; experience in the Offshore industry is a great plus (but not a must)
  • Ability to read and work with hydraulic drawings and documentation;
  • Familiarity with relevant classification and safety standards;
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; ERP system knowledge is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel and work offshore (up to approx. 15 weeks per year)
