Job Description
As System Engineer (senior), you will spearhead the design and implementation of in-house software solutions that power Allseas’ cutting-edge equipment. Working in a multidisciplinary innovation team, you’ll drive projects that transform raw sensor data and simulation outputs into meaningful, actionable software products.
You will guide a team of engineers in architecting reliable, scalable, and user-centric solutions—from real-time monitoring and operational dashboards to bespoke engineering tools and automation systems. Your leadership will be key in aligning software development with broader engineering goals, ensuring a seamless bridge between mechanical complexity and digital intelligence.
To be successful in this role you are solution-minded, resourceful and you have the ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities. You are able to learn concepts and technical details of complex systems and thrive by working in a dynamic, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software development projects for engineering applications, from concept to deployment, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with
system requirements;
- Design and oversee software architecture for integrated monitoring systems, enabling real-time decision-making and automation;
- Develop algorithms and processing logic that turn raw sensor data and simulation results into actionable insights;
- Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
- Solid experience in programming, software architecture, and a strong affinity with monitoring and automation of mechanical systems;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Eagerness to learn, try, fail, and explore;
- Team player with a broad interest in technology;
- Proficiency in (some of) Python, Go, SQL, C/C++
Additional points
- Solid grasp of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab).
- Experience in developing engineering and simulation tools for physical systems or process optimization.
- Willingness to occasionally work offshore to support system commissioning and testing.
