The Technical Department of Allseas manages the maintenance, repairs and modifications of our assets in the most safe, efficient and sustainable manner. The department aims to provide the best technical service and support to the company on- and offshore and to stay ahead of the development of new techniques, changing rules and regulations and client wishes. As such, it plays a multifaceted role in ensuring the reliability and sustainability of our operations.
Department's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to the asset management of Allseas being the vessels, the yards and our equipment. To achieve this, the TD comprises two departments ; the TD for the (asset) management of the worldwide operating fleet and the Department Technical services.

Job Description
The Technical Superintendent Cranes is a member of Allseas Technical Department's Asset groups. He/ She supports the Technical Superintendent and the Vessel Management Team with the daily technical management of the equipment assigned.
Responsibilities and tasks include;
• Define and manage repair, maintenance activities including planning and budget.
• Ensure the correct level of critical spares and wires for all cranes across the fleet.
• Supports the crew with planned & unplanned maintenance, inspection, fault diagnosis, calibrations repair & testing of equipment.
• Report on the technical status and necessary investment (including budget) to the asset manager or Technical superintendent
• Follow up on audit findings, incidents, review downtime events, propose improvements.
• Supports Projects and Departments with specialised knowledge regarding cranes and lifting operations including lifting plans.
• Share knowledge and experience with TD and other departments' staff and crew.
• Actively contribute to the department’s goals and strategy; promote a safer, sustainable and efficient operation.
• Periodically visit and inspect the vessels and allocated cranes, equipment.
Education & Experience
- BSc / MSc degree in Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- Minimum 10 years of experience with maintenance of (hydraulic) cranes and rigging in an offshore environment.
- Extensive knowledge of running wire rope integrity management (ISO 4309, IMCA M 194), lifting equipment inspections (LOLER) and Classification rules.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Highly skilled in hydraulic and mechanical systems with knowledge of control and electrical systems.
