Job Description

As a part of our Marine or Construction department, you will collaborate closely with the Crew Operations team to manage the personnel planning across our fleet. You will create well-balanced schedules that align with specific project and vessel requirements, contributing to a successful execution of our projects.

Think about it as the "Outlook scheduler on steroids".

You will take ownership of the crew planning (up to a few hundred people) for the disciplines assigned to you, across all Allseas vessels. Your tasks consist mainly of (but are not limited to) the following:

  • You act as the primary point of contact for the superintendents on the vessels regarding planning matters
  • Along the way, you build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders: HR, VMT, L&D and Crew
  • Also with the Operations Managers you build a strong partnership to address long-term workforce needs
  • In close collaboration with the Discipline Managers, you determine resource requirements and make key decisions
  • You provide the Crew Operations Team with valuable input on planning and special requirements
  • When you identify structural crew shortages or surpluses, you report them to HR and Operations
  • For any short-term planning challenges that come up, you make sure to find a proper solution
  • You stay in close touch with the vessels regarding crew composition and equal distribution of experience
  • Together with HR, you work on career development and promotions for the crew

Education & Experience

In order to be a good fit for this position, you should recognize yourself largely in the following criteria:

  • You have at least five years of experience as a (Crew) Planner and you have proven your talent and potential when it comes to planning
  • Experience in the maritime sector is a great asset, but planners from other industries are also more than welcome
  • Even more important: you have the will to deal with complex plannings, changing priorities and unforeseen circumstances
  • You are not afraid to ask for help from your team, and your colleagues can count on your help when needed
  • You are both assertive and diplomatic in your communication and you know how to deal with different stakeholders (crew members, superintendents, captains...)
  • You speak and write fluent English; knowledge of the Dutch language is an asset
  • You are willing to travel from time to time and maintain visibility across our fleet, this includes visits to vessels and our main office in Delft
