Division Description
Working offshore on one of our vessels means that you are at the heart of the action and taking an active part in shaping the future of the offshore industry. Our offshore crew members are dedicated and determined to get the job done efficiently without losing sight of safety.
The marine crew comprises three main teams: nautical, technical and catering. The nautical crew is responsible for sailing the vessel; the technical crew (engineers and mechanics) maintains the installations and equipment on board such as the main engines and electrical plant; the catering crew (cooks and stewards) provides catering and cleaning related services for all crew on board.

Job Description
As Third Engineer ER, you are essential to the safe and efficient operation of our vessels’ engine room systems and installations. You will work on offshore projects worldwide, reporting to the Second Engineer ER and Chief Engineer, and collaborating closely with a skilled technical team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing independent engineering watchkeeping duties in accordance with STCW requirements
- Operating, maintaining and repairing main engines, generators, auxiliary machinery and associated systems
- Executing planned maintenance activities and ensuring timely and accurate administration
- Monitoring machinery performance and reporting abnormalities, malfunctions or unsafe conditions
- Performing fault‑finding, executing corrective actions and recording work carried out
- Maintaining statutory and company logbooks and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment
- Fulfilling duties as indicated on the station bill, including ship safety and emergency response
- Conducting machinery rounds, inspections and participating in effective handovers
- Supporting operations during pipelay, construction and offshore activities by ensuring engine room reliability
- You will also have the authority to stop the job if safety or compliance is at risk, in line with the Allseas Integrated Management System.

Qualifications & Experience
- STCW III/1 – Officer in Charge Engineering Watch
- Mandatory basic safety certificates
- Minimum 3 years general engine room experience
- Knowledge of pipelay equipment
- English proficiency (usually A2 or higher for engineers)
- Computer literacy and ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings
Certifications
- Medical certificate (or equivalent)
- Offshore survival
- Certificate of Competence (or equivalent)
- BOSIET (INCL. CA-EBS)
- HUET - Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
